Aug 17, 2023

Dry Goods USA, a junior women's fashion retailer owned by the Von Maur department store, will be opening a store at the Crossgates Mall this fall. The 3,557-square-foot store will be on the upper level of the shopping center in the Macy's wing.

GUILDERLAND — Dry Goods USA, a junior women's fashion retailer, is opening a store this fall at Crossgates Mall as the brand seeks to expand nationwide.

The specialty retailer, a subsidiary of the upscale family-owned Van Maur department chain, plans to open 11 locations in 2023. The 3,557-square-foot Guilderland store will be located on the upper level of the shopping center in the Macy's wing, Crossgates owner Pyramid Management announced earlier this month.

Customers can expect a wide selection of trendy fashion pieces that appeal to a younger demographic, from clothing to jewelry and accessories.

"We are excited by the success of Dry Goods as we continue to expand our footprint and introduce the brand to new fashion-forward shoppers seeking the latest on-trend clothing and accessories," said Melody Wright, COO of Von Maur, the 150-year-old parent company of Dry Goods. "Our ever-changing mix offers new, fresh takes that allow our shoppers to create their own individual look at a reasonable price."

Von Maur, which has a strong presence throughout the Midwest, opened its first Dry Goods store in Illinois in 2010. There are 71 Dry Goods stores in 19 states as well as a popular online storefront.

"The Dry Goods brand was created to bring our tradition of customer service to a new generation of younger, fashion-forward customers," Lindsay Caltagirone, VP of stores for Dry Goods, said.
