Elden Ring: Where To Find Mohg's Shackle

Aug 28, 2023

To find Mohg's Shackle in Elden Ring, Tarnished pilgrims must venture into the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds beneath Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Similar to Margit's Shackle sold by Patches, Mohg's Shackle is a tool in Elden Ring used to ease the boss battle with Mohg by temporarily binding the Blood Lord to the ground. Several Tarnished have found even further utility for this tool by using it as a trigger to freeze the Demigod in place, allowing players to cheese the boss of Mohgwyn Palace. However, acquiring the finding the Mohg's Shackle is itself a challenge in Elden Ring, as the item is hidden within the sewer depths beneath Lyendell, Royal Capital.

To get Mohg's Shackle in Elden Ring, Tarnished adventurers must first locate the well that serves as the primary entrance to Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Starting from the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace, traverse the top of the wall guarded by performing Oracle Envoys. Use the lift in the opposite building to reach ground level and access the main street. Head southwest and turn right to enter the ruined district of the Capital. Be mindful of the Erdtree Avatar that will drop down near the gateway to the neighborhood.

After resting at the Avenue Balcony Grace site, descend the stairwell on the right. Turn left and jump over the railing and into the courtyard below. In a corner to the north sits a well where Tarnished can enter the city's sewers in Elden Ring. It's recommended that travelers rush to the well quickly as several nearby Albinauric Crawlers will attempt to grab the player.

Continue through the first few sewers tunnels to reach a dark room crawling with Giant Rats. Open the door ahead and turn left, leaping down into a spacious corridor with large grotesque enemies. Enter the room on the first right to find the Underground Roadside Site of Grace. Next, go down the ladder on the left of the locked door opposite the Grace room. This passage will lead to the central area of the sewers, recognizable by a system of wooden platforms and pipes.

Turn right, leap down onto the pipe below, and drop down again to reach the sewer floor in Elden Ring. Dodge-roll out of a nearby Giant Lobster's attack and dash for the hole in the wall on the left. Head down the stairway on the right and rest at the Site of Grace of the Leyndell Catacombs. Once the enemy hostility has been reset, return to the entryway and look to the right wall where sewage water is gushing out. Mohg's Shackle can be found on the pile of muck to the left of the drainage outlet. Be careful of slumbering Giant Lobster nearby when attempting to pick it up.
